This piece captures a quiet, cinematic moment in a late-night cafe. A woman in a deep blue coat and fedora sits alone at a small round table, cigarette in hand, smoke curling upward into the warm amber glow of the interior.
My palette here is rich and moody, with burnt oranges, deep reds and nocturnal darks, punctuated by the luminous glow off the tabletop and the pale, expressive ribbons of smoke. Dissolving into the background are abstracted and shadowy figures, suggesting that a few customers remain conversing and carrying on into the night, while our main figure has resigned to the end of the day.
Oil on birch panel - 12 × 12 in. / 30 × 30 cm.
Delivery fees included. Custom built crate for shipping, and fully insured.
